Pentaho Solutions: Reviews

Good.

On that occasion will realize different reviews from different points of view, as I did with Pentaho Reporting. Here are the reviews:

1) Overview :  It is a very easy book to read and handled very well the theoretical and practical.

As the concepts are giving more complex and heavy, is always accompanied with an example, graphic or exercise.

This book is really very useful and indispensable reading both for those who are just beginning to work with Pentaho, and for that we have some time.

2) Detailed Review: Pentaho Solutions covers the entire data warehousing process. It draws upon a particular example and through the different sections of the book will reach the final deployment of pentaho solution.

Topics range from the download and installation of mysql pentaho and to the creation interactive analysis, ad hoc reports and dashboards. Turning clear, Pentaho advanced settings, scheduler, subscriptions, bursting, pds, pdi, pme, prd, psw, weka and cdf. The theoretical explanations accompany and support at all times what is being done and / or what to do next.

Note that the examples are geared toward two operating systems:

• GNU / Linux: Ubuntu.
• Window $ XP.

Pentaho Solutions @ s allows beginners to have all the tools at hand to create their own solutions, and allows the @ s that already have spent some time with Pentaho deepen some more theoretical issues and reinforce knowledge.

3) Final note:  Pentaho Solutions is a book highly recommended for those who work with Pentaho every day and for those who wish it.
