Red Hat is expanding its global partnership with Amazon Web Services and SAP in the Cloud

Red Hat Enterprise Linux with support for SAP applications is available on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud
Red Hat has announced support for SAP solutions running on Red Hat Enterprise Linux on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).
"This announcement reinforces the continued efforts of Red Hat to offer customers flexibility in deployment options and software innovations in the computing cloud," said Gus Robertson, vice president of business development at Red Hat."Now customers have more choice and provision for Red Hat Enterprise Linux, now certified and recommended by SAP to run their applications."
Amazon EC2 provides processing capability in the cloud with high availability, secure, on demand, pay-per-use and scalable. It is designed to make web-scale processing easier for developers, independent software vendors (ISVs) and enterprise IT organizations worldwide. SAP customers can use both Red Hat compatible images, and Red Hat Cloud Access-On-Demand Hourly in all regions of Amazon EC2.

SAP has encountered a steady stream of customers that migrate to cloud solutions, many of whom are creating their own scenario of SAP solutions to adapt to the cloud. Customers are looking for rapid scaling and flexibility to pay only for what they use, associated with cloud computing. Red Hat provides an internal corporate open source platform, with support of SAP applications. Through their cooperation, customers can also rely on Amazon EC2 to run SAP applications on Red Hat Enterprise Linux.This will allow customers to use global support options available from Amazon, Red Hat and SAP in a collaborative way.
Red Hat and began working together AWS on cloud computing in 2007 with the availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux using Amazon EC2. As a first Premier Certified Cloud privide, AWS allows customers to use their own subscriptions to Red Hat Enterprise Linux or buy a comfortable, on-demand and pay-through Amazon EC2.
